Competitive Robotics FIRST LEGO League Program for Middle School Students

The Competitive Robotics FIRST LEGO League Program is for rising middle school students in grades 6th through 8th. This week-long, full-day camp is an introduction to robotics using the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 System (for more information on the competition please see the FIRST website. This program is intended to prepare students to successfully compete in the FIRST LEGO League Competition in the Fall 2016 season. North Texas has eight tournaments with over 200 team participating in FIRST LEGO League. Students will explore both the Robot Game and Project aspects of the newly released 2016-2017 FLL challenge. Participants will be able to build and program a robot to do tasks on the new field and get a feel for what being on a FLL team is like, providing a head start for the upcoming season. This camp fulfills requirements for the Robotics Boy Scout Merit Badge and Girl Scout Robotics Merit Badge.
