Are you addicted to video games? A man played "Candy Crush" nonstop, every day, for six to eight weeks. He ruptured the tendon in his thumb while playing, but he felt no pain at all, until he stopped playing. Scientists have studied this and think that video games may serve as virtual painkillers.
